Wedding Planning Case Study

Sonia and Danny had 13 weeks to plan their wedding. They had already booked the ceremony and reception venue. They decided to ask me to co-ordinate everything else.

I suggested colours, themes and creative ideas for the wedding. I helped Sonia to choose a wedding dress and the bridesmaids’ dresses. I organised and attended fittings. I recommended a hairdresser. I sourced a florist and advised on wedding flowers. I sourced a cake maker. I put together table plans.

Sonia and Danny’s choice of reception, Clearwell Castle in Gloucestershire, ask couples to advise them which people will need rooms, rather than accepting bookings from any of the guests. This means close family and friends are sure to get rooms at the hotel. I co-ordinated all the accommodation at and near the reception venue.

On the wedding day, I acted as a point of contact for everyone involved. I made sure the day ran smoothly. I also decorated the room the reception was held in, and provided the little touches to help make the day special.

In short, I made sure Sonia and Danny enjoyed planning their wedding and remained stress-free throughout.
