Questions for your Reception Venue
Your reception is where the majority of the day will take place. It’s where you’ll have time to talk to all your guests and revel in the excitement. Making sure every eventuality has been covered will mean you can relax and enjoy being the centre of attention.
When you look for a reception venue, you should find out:
- Can we have a food and wine tasting before we decide on the menu?
- Will there be a master of ceremonies?
- Do you offer discounted rates for guests wanting to stay?
If your ceremony is going to held in the same place as your reception, you should also ask:
- Can guests staying have access to their rooms prior to the ceremony for changing if necessary?
- Where will photographs be taken if the weather is bad?
- If the ceremony and reception are going to be in the same room, how long will it take to rearrange it?
Of course, if your wedding planner is liaising with your reception venue, you won’t need to think about any of these questions. |
