Ceremony Venue
The ceremony is the single most important part of your wedding day. What happens will set the tone for the rest of the day. So getting it right is vital.
When you meet your ceremony officiant, here are some of the questions you should discuss:
- How long will the ceremony take?
- Can we add or use our own music and/or words?
- Can we video and/or take photos of the ceremony?
- Who will conduct the ceremony?
- Can we meet them beforehand to discuss how things will run and what will happen?
- Will the venue be available for a practice?
- Can the guests throw confetti?
- If your ceremony and reception are to be held in the same place, you should also ask:
- Can guests staying have access to their rooms prior to the ceremony for changing if necessary?
- Where will photographs be taken if the weather is bad?
- If the ceremony and reception are going to be in the same room, how long will it take to rearrange it?
Of course, if your wedding planner is liaising with your ceremony venue, you won’t need to think about any of these questions.
