Receiving Line

It is normal for the bride, groom and both sets of parents to form a receiving line to greet the guests as they make their way into the wedding breakfast.

You may wish to include your chief bridesmaid and best man in this line. For a more informal wedding, just the bride and groom receive the guests.

Whatever line up you choose, it is customary for the guests to remain standing until the bride and groom enter the room and take their seats.
